Girlyn Miguel: The Dumbest Woman in High Office in SVG for 2011

Hon Girlyn Miguel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education SVG

Hon Girlyn Miguel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education SVG

Can anyone imagine if a national crisis is to erupt in this country before the return of the prime minister? God forbids! With Girlyn Miguel in charge, we better keep our fingers cross. She has been voted as the dumbest woman in high office in SVG for 2011.

When Girlyn Miguel was appointed as deputy prime minister, that office was automatically deemed titular or ceremonial. She does not know her ass from her elbow! Yet, she was put in the number 2 position in the government. Clearly, Miguel’s appointment was about the title and not the function.

As the minister of education, Miguel has not a clue. Her debate on educational issues often comes across scripted and shallow. Furthermore, she is so ignorant that does not even know when our national anthem was first sung!

When all is said and done, Girlyn Miguel has been the dumbest woman in high office in SVG. Some may even say she is the ugliest too! But, we are not going there.

Is Miss Migual over her head? Are the other two female politicians more competent and capable? I certainly think so, but does she deserve such a sleezy “box pon jaw”? NO!

Bah humbug! What a scrooge VCK is being!

Anyway, Vincikallaloo, you must leave the diatribe to people like myself…stay above the fray, after all, you are the proprietor of this blog; no need for the TROLL EFFECT. I think folks will always come to your site as there is a desperate need for a PROPER FUNCTIONING VINCY FORUM for folks to vent, express, and put forth their two cents.

I respect your right to freedom of expression but ah must say,Its one thing to be critical of Miss Miguel’s politics…it’s another when you are being down-right RACIST.

    Stay thirsty my friend.

St Vincent is a place of striking contradictions. One would have thought that greater efforts would be made to support our women, mothers, wives, sisters and aunts if the face of all the negative publicity that SVG receently received on the treatment of females. Just weeks after the outcry, look at the level of disrespect heaped upon an outstanding educator now serving as Minister of Education and Deputy Prime Minister. Wow! It’s one thing to possess freedom of speech; it’s a totally different thing to use that freedom to promote respect for human dignity, the futrher development of our women folks and the overall development of our nation. If one is so convinced that it is his duty to utter such vitriolic remakrs about any one then such a one should refraining from hiding behind press anonymity and face the public

I do not know what do you have against this woman, seems like hatred to me and to call one ugly that God created in his own image is even uglier so therefore, you better check the ugliness inside of you before you say another word against this woman.

yes,I do believe that the person who wrote this article must examine him/herself before saying things that are not even important.I believe also that this is a political dagger. You said “She has been voted as the dumbest woman in high office in SVG for 2011”. Where was that election conducted? Do You have the stats to prove your statement? We are all Vincentians and we must give our leaders the best support.if they screw up then I can say they are not worthy of the job. This parliamentarian did not screw up.If a date of anything form is forgotten it does not mean someone is dumb. An Please give reasons why Anesia Baptiste is the most outstanding parliamentarian? You have a mother and look at your mother ‘s face then at Miguel’s face.See also who is smarter your mother or Miguel? And if the country is in crisis ,The Governor General as well as the commissioner of police will run the show especially in a case on emergency Please stop these gutter talks and if you are educated don’t make your education fool you. Do you know when our national anthem was first sung?If so give the date and who was it composed by?
Let us be fair and keep politics away from people’s personal characteristics.
    Concerned Vincentan.

I think this is just so disrespectful. Talk about verbal abuse of women. How can she be ugly we were all fearfully and wonderfully made by the creator, I hope the writer of this article did not come forth from a woman and I know that no animal wrote this article.

  9. Let’s give the maximum Respect to our Leaders, that would bring peace.Let’s build our country with Unity,Love and Peace.

  10. The main problem with our country, think I, is that many of us have now grown to disrespect our own brothers and sisters. We disrespect our elders, even our mothers and fathers. I can remember my Mom and dad were people of very little education and now that I look back I wonder where they got there wisdom from. They taught their kids to respect everyone around them. If ever in my life I had to talk down to someone I always knew how to do it, always with respect. Here’s a verse from the Bible worth taking note of: “If anyone of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a ‘fool’ so that he may become wise” I Cor. 3:18. We should all rally round our country men and pray to God that He would strengthen them and gave them the right wise decisions in the case something would happen where they need
to act. That in my estimation is thinking of your country and all your country men first. What would Jesus say about the dumbest woman? In I Cor. 1:27 you can find the answer: God chose the foolish things of this world to shame the wise, and he chose the weak things of this world to shame the strong. When we try to destroy our fellowman in public with nasty words we are actually destroying ourselves. For my last quote, read
I Cor. 3:16,17– “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s Temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s Temple, God will destroy him; for God’s Temple is sacred, and you are that Temple”. There you see it. If we can have more love and respect for each other we (this country) would fair much better.

I am not sure if this is the way we must Go in our country I don’t share Mrs Miguel politics but I would never disrespect her to this extent. We need to stamp this out folks its not doing anyone any good Unfortunately our leaders perpetuate this sort of denigration. Mrs Miguel was one of our most successful principals in the country its sad that she allowed her talents to be obscured by the one and most mighty I but let her have her due, TRAGEDIES AND MISFORTUNES BRING OUT THE BEST IN US SHE IS FEMALE AND DON’T UNDERESTIMATE THEIR FORTITUDE .
