Murder in Pembroke: The Mysterious Death of a Prominent Dentist

Ewart "Ells" King

The people of Pembroke woke up to the tragic news that one of their prominent neighbours is dead.  He was killed in his home in the early hours of Sunday morning, December 4, 2011. Some reports indicate that Ells was shot to death. Others suggest that he succumbed to stab wounds

Speculation is rife. How did this popular dentist meet an untimely demise in such tragic circumstances. Was it an attempted robbery that went bad? Was he targeted for assassination? Or. was it the fatal result of a domestic squabble?

This is a developing story. Vinci Kallaloo is exploring all the angles.  We do so knowing full well that nothing is ever as it seems.

  1. Some one told me there is a woman selling her house in Pembroke this story about the death of Ells must be the reason why. I am thinking of buying the house I am so sorry to hear of this terrible news. But these things happen every where. You must have God’s protection over your life no matter where you are. The spirit of death is every where, and people should not be afraid of death. it has no sting. And it is the last enemy to be destroy. Do not fear people do not leave your home because of it, having said that if you still want to leave your home, leave it to me I want to come home to the beautiful land God gave us.

ellss is/was the most approahable helpful person that i have met in svg, nothing was undaunting for him to do for you;i have experienced it first hand.who would take a man, he barely had contact with, who had health issues, carry him on his back ,and help sapp him in d sea ,back to health.ells was very vigalant,so i cannot fathom how he was so exposed to be murdered in his home, the mind boggles.he was also known to come out at nights,to help u when in trouble for various reasons. he would put his self in jeopardy to stop a crime being comitted against any member of the public. he was a great calming influence,he talked to u and gave helpful words of encouragement and experienced advise.people of pembroke and surrounding ares, town and country, what are u going 2 do this festive season? you’ll all be ‘like fish out of water’ wondering what 2 do ‘no more entertainment at ‘brother ells’ at xmas. there is a big void in all our lives lelf by a truly ‘great man’. i am in the uk now having returned back here 1 and a half years ago,it saddened me greatly to hear of ‘ellss’demise, i hope the perpetraitor/s are brough to justice(speedily).r.i.p. gone but surely not forgotton. earl(coach)in d uk

This is a tragic loss to our Seales family. RIP dear ELLS. The brutal circumstances of your tragic death is unacceptable. I am in disbelief of this SAVAGE ACT. RIP ELLS. You will be missed and forever remembered. God Bless Your Soul.

  4. He was the best neighbour anyone can want. Ellis lived, loved and laughed. Pembroke will never be the same. He was the backbone of our village. Right now villagers are contemplating selling and relocating.. cause how will Pembroke be without Ellis.. (tears)How are we going to live without Ellis ????

  5. He was truly a “KIng”. The best neighbour anyone can ask for. Right now I don’t even feel like going back to my home cause I won’t be seeing him anymore. He was the kindest of persons. Ellis lived, loved and laughed with everyone. Pembroke will never be the same again.Still can’t believe he is gone..(tears)

You have written a story using nothing but gossip and you can cause more pain than good to the family. They have gone through a lot throughout the years, the lost of his daughter and now him. Please correct your story…you are leading ppl to think his wife killed him and that’s much more problematic only God knows what went on in that house. RIP Mr. King

  10. The writer of this story interjected 3 possible scenarios in an akward attempt to report on a crime that shook an entire town and saddened family and friends near and far. I find his question, “…the fatal result of a domestic squabble?” very problematic and would go as far to say very irresponsible to raise the spectre of marital problems. Is the writer suggesting Els was the victim or murder for hire? This sort of gratuitous, unfounded allegation is very hurtful to the family mourning the loss of a wonderful man: son, father, husband, brother, uncle, brother-in-law. I would hope the writer would do his homework and report the FACTS relating to this heinous crime.

Terrible News! Yet another murder recorded in SVG. What is really going on? Where is our country going? The very heinous nature and frequency of crime has been a matter of grave concern to most self-respecting Vincentians. Crime has long gotten out of control hand. IS OUR COUNTRY UNGOVERNABLE? Have we reached that state of existence?
